Some must-have songs - Nothing would equal a best of (still not out or in the planning) But some great songs you cannot pass here , esp. Je n oublierai jamais, la fin des etoiles and plus belle qu une femme--clearly superb & superior melodic work. The faster tracks seem to be the ones every body knows or goes for. I disagree (although un million d annees has been a famous success...)Great CD, can t pass up the good stuff.
Good, but not their best. - Niagara s last album is good, but not necessarily their best. In my opinion, the previous album, Religion had a bit more to offer. But some songs on La Verite, such as Un Million D Annee are fantastic, and make this album worth it. In the early 1990s Niagara changed their sound from an edgy pop to hard rock, and this album just got a bit too hard for my tastes. Nevertheless, as usual, Niagara has intriguing and poetic lyrics, and high quality music. Even if it is not their best, it still shines compared to most French music from that period.
Quite heavy melodic rock with graet arrangements - Seen them live in Stockholm, they were great. The music is a bit heavy but still very melodic.
